Aims
1. To support ongoing educaton and research into natural hoof care.
2. To provide members with opportunities for further learning in this field.
3. To promote and support ongoing research in this field.
4. To encourage members to develop their craft and to network with others involved in providing professional equine health care.
5. To publicise the benefits of barefoot hoofcare and to provide the horse owners of Australia a means to access accredited professional trimmers.
6. To provide an association that will represent natural hoof care pracitioners in Australia and to be a voice for members in any decision making or legislation that may affect professional hoof care practitioners in the future.
7. To seek benefits for professional members that will aid them in the establishment of their business (i.e. insurance). The Australian Hoof Care Association was formed to highlight the work of the many trimmers who are doing outstanding rehabilitation work with the barefoot trim and we would welcome any attention from magazines to draw attention to the gentle non invasive trimming approaches that we support. We have a Veterinary Panel and a growing membership of extremely talented people, some who have been working in the hoof care industry for many years and are happy to share their experiences and network with those starting out in the industry. |
